Burna Boy and Sporty Group Release “For Everybody”

Burna Boy has released “For Everybody,” a new single created in collaboration with Sporty Group, marking the full reveal of a creative project that had been teased for months. More than a standalone release, the record arrives alongside a music film that places African sport, movement, and identity at its centre.

Athletes at the Centre of the Visual Story

A range of African athletes appear throughout the film, including Eduardo Camavinga, Nico and Iñaki Williams, Odion Ighalo, Claude Makélélé, Michael Essien, and Asisat Oshoala. Their appearances are treated with intent, positioning athletes as cultural figures whose journeys echo the discipline, pressure, and ambition often reflected in African music.

“For Everybody” landed just ahead of the AFCON 2026 final between Morocco and Senegal, placing its arrival firmly within Africa’s sporting calendar. Burna Boy introduced the song live at The AFCON Last Dance at the Olm Souissi Fan Zone in Rabat, giving fans their first performance of the record in a setting shaped by football, celebration, and collective emotion.

Directed by Dave Meyers, with choreography from Shay Latukolan and produced in collaboration with Sporty Studios, the music film leans heavily into movement. Athletic drills, coordinated motion, and fashion-driven visuals unfold in sync with the song’s rhythm, creating a piece built around physical expression and momentum. The visual language reflects how music and sport have long coexisted across African spaces, often feeding off the same energy.

Speaking on the project, Burna Boy described it as a cultural statement with a shared focus.

“This one is for the culture, for everyone carrying our sound, our spirit and our story around the world,”

he said, framing the release around collective ownership and representation.

Dave Meyers echoed that sentiment from a visual standpoint, pointing to what stood out during production.

“Africa is a continent of extraordinary cultural richness, defined by beauty, grace, and boundless diversity,”

he said, reflecting on the experience of working within that environment.

Where Music, Sport, and Identity Meet

“For Everybody” marks the clearest expression so far of the creative direction Burna Boy and Sporty Group have been developing together. By centring athletes, movement, and music within the same frame, the project documents a moment where African excellence is shown through action and presence, captured in a form that speaks to both the pitch and the stage.
