JetSlay Productions Take Over Lagos Fashion With Summer Collection

JetSlay Productions turned up the heat in Lagos this summer with the boldest fashion takeover yet. This weekend, the brand brought its vibrant Aso Oke and Adire collection to a one-of-a-kind pop-up sales event live at Obanikoro, Lagos.

Customers and prospects were given the one of a kind experience of a fresh take on traditional Nigerian textiles. It transformed the pieces into modern shirts, shorts, jackets, dresses, and accessories. The collection which dropped live at their summer pop-up, brings to the eyes of the public limited-edition pieces. They also brought forth incredible discounts that will make the average man green with envy.

With a move to have Lagosians express the Nigerian culture in style, the event went live on Saturday, August 16th. It will be continuing on to Sunday, August 17th at the Obanikoro Estate, Lagos. 

The event was lit, bringing all to the potent mixture of cultural nostalgia, comfort, style and modern fashion statements. It also gave the opportunity for young fashion designers to express themselves, tapping into the richness of their collections for inspiration for their pieces.

The JetSlay Event, More Than Just Fashion

The event is not just focused on fashion but on other lifestyle outfits. Attendees were exposed to the best of local art with a side art exhibition featuring abstract and life paintings by local artists. Local Amala delicacies cuisine and party Jollof rice was also on display and for sale by Eat with Ayinke.

Customers at the JetSlay event can also have a taste of snacks like peanuts, chin chin and more at the stall of Tasty Corridors. Patrons could also spice up their jewelry collections at the stall of Simply Bijou.

In addition to the exclusive merchandise, attendees enjoyed real-time styling sessions. This gave them the rare opportunity of finding their perfect fit. With the aim of buyers shopping till they dropped, JetSlay Productions encouraged their customers to take advantage of the event to grab their culturally modern attires as there are no restocks planned due to the busy nature of their operations. Once a piece is gone, it’s gone for good. 

Celebrities Grace The JetSlay Event

The event was also graced by some of the most intriguing of local celebrities. One of them is Nigerian Actor and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Boma Akpore. The reality TV star is a personal friend of the organisers and long-time customer.

He brought the star-power to the event, taking photos with fans and greeting customers and the team members. Boma is a model and actor and is a member of the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA). 

JetSlay Productions is a husband-and-wife joint venture by a real couple, Jude and Ifeyinwa Ezemoh. Jude Ezemoh runs Jet Garments which focuses on producing suits, Agbadas, Khaftans, Shirts and Pants; while his wife, Ifeyinwa Ezemoh runs Slay On A Budget, which specializes on easy to wear garments for females in various fabrics including Adire, Aso Oke and more.

The event happens periodically, with as much as three to five events coming out every year. The next edition is slated to come forth by the end of the year.
