Role Overview:

Join our team as a skilled, dedicated Studio Assistant and support or production manager and team in various tasks related to content creation, editing, and administrative duties. As a studio assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our studio and the timely release of engaging content to our audience. This role is based in Accra, Ghana (specifically East Legon and its surroundings).

Responsibilities:
Assist with Content Creation: 
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager and creative team to brainstorm ideas for new content.
  • Assisting with setting up and organising studio equipment for filming and recording sessions.
  • Participate in filming and recording sessions as needed, handling lighting, audio setup, and camera operation tasks.
  • Help in sourcing props, costumes, or other materials required for content creation.
Editing and Post-Production:
  • Support the editing process by organising and cataloguing raw footage or audio recordings.
  • Assist in editing video footage, audio clips, or graphics using editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and other industry-relevant applications.
  • Ensure the timely completion of editing tasks and assist in meeting content release deadlines.
Administrative Tasks:
  • Handling incoming communications, including phone calls, emails, and inquiries related to studio activities.
  • Coordinating the scheduling of filming and other relevant tasks through the Production team’s tracking processes.
  • Manage and maintain studio inventory, including equipment (Cameras, Tripods, etc..) and other Props and supplies.
General Support: 
  • Providing general support to the production manager and creative team as needed, including undertaking miscellaneous duties and keeping the studio clean before and after filming.
  • Assist in troubleshooting technical issues with studio equipment and software.
  • Contribute ideas for improving studio workflows and efficiency. 
Qualifications:
  • Previous Experience: in a similar role (preferably in a creative or production environment; proficiency in Video Editing or similar creative experience is preferred)
  • Strong Organisational Skills: Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, prioritise responsibilities, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced studio environment.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Adaptability: Flexible and able to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed to finalise and produce consistent results.
  • Attention to detail: Commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Willingness to Learn: Eagerness to acquire new skills, adapt to new technologies, and take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the studio’s goals and objectives.
  • Have your own laptop: Candidates are expected to have their own laptop. This ensures that employees have the necessary tools readily available to perform their tasks efficiently and independently.
