Offei releases debut EP titled Butterfly Season. The Ghanaian singer, guitarist, songwriter, rapper and philanthropist has released his new EP after taking a break from music. Music enthusiatas believe the EP is set to make significant waves in the music scene. The EP has six melodic songs, which include Ayaya, I Like, Abena, Your Love, 2×2 and Sheda. The songs has feel of the popular genre Afrobeats that we like to hear and move our feets to. He had a fantastic listening party on Friday, 27th October, 2023 at Mars in East Legon, Accra, which had several artists like Cina Soul, Krymi, Darkoaa and other celebrities coming around to support his finest artistry.

Born Derrick Offei Awuku on 22nd March, 1993 in Tema, he emerged into the music scene in 2017 after he released his debut single, Let It Go, featuring Kofi Gyenfi. He went on to gain popularity with his song ‘Fi Ma No’, which was released in 2020. The song features Nigerian reggae-dancehall artist/singer Patoranking and Kawastone of Veteran Ghanaian music group ‘Blackstone’. He also has collaborations with artists like Kwesi Arthur and Amartey.

Butterfly Season

A music video for Ayaya has already been released to give a visual compliment to the EP. The artist has also been out on several media promo tours and is scheduled to tour Accra and other regions in Ghana with the proud sponsorship of Jameson Irish Whisky (Ghana) as part of plans to promote the EP gain more following, and attract new listeners to his craft.
Offei recounts the Butterfly Season EP as the chronicles of the different phases of the few years he stayed away from active music up onto his recent comeback, including losing his dad. All his fans are solidly behind him, and we wish him and the new EP all the best to reach a successful feat.
