Darko vibes has releases new album Titled Butifly. He took to Twitter to make the announcement today, Tuesday 12th October, 2023. This will be his second album following a couple of successful singles and his first studio album ‘Kpanlogo’.
The album features both local and international artists, including King Promise, Jupitar, Omar Sterling, Manifest from Ghana, Oxlade, Davido, Wizkid from Nigeria and Not3s from UK. Darko Vibes, originally known as Paul Nii Amu Darko is a singer, songwriter and rapper who was born in 1995 in Accra, Ghana. He specialises in Afrobeats, Afro-trap, Afropop and Hip-hop. Darko is popular for his 2016 single ‘Mercy’.
He is also part of a boy-band called La-meme gang, a group that consists of RJZ, Kiddblack, Nxwrth (no longer part), RJZ, $pacely and Kwaku BS (no longer part). La Meme Gang released their first collaborative studio tape, ‘La Meme Tape’ in 2017. The release has sparked a lot of positive reactions from fans on Twitter, confirming the anticipation the masses had for the new album. Darko vibes was not left out of the excitement. He tweeted, “Happy Release Day #Butifly, Love you all”.
Darko vibes possesses exceptional skills in fusing multiple dialects, such as Ga, Twi, English and Pidgin, into his music to make it more appealing to the masses both in his home country and on the international scene. The album can only live up to its anticipation due to the hype the artist created ahead of its release. Having featured A-List artists goes to show how successful the album can be with the proper publicity and marketing.
